Rehearsal Update

Rehearsals will now resume for the summer session, the first of these being on Tuesday 13 April, starting at 7.00 pm. The schedule for rehearsals is now available, and can be accessed by clicking on the button below. Following suggestions from several members, we will send out a single Zoom link covering the full evening of rehearsals. This will allow members to sit in on rehearsals for other sections if they wish, e.g. to hear how the other sections are performing specific passages.

The Glasgow Chamber Orchestra is an amateur orchestra based in Glasgow, and has been making music here for over 50 years. We give 3 main concerts each year in March, June and November. You can find out lots more about the orchestra and its music in the pages of this web-site. Hopefully, you will be encouraged to come along to a concert, or if you are a musician, you may be interested in joining us. We invite you to browse through the site, and if you need more information, there is a Contacts Page so that you can get in touch.
The GCO is always on the look-out for new players. Details on vacancies and how to join the orchestra can be found by clicking the link below.

Future Concerts


Sadly, given recent developments with the pandemic, it is now clear that Concerts of the form we have enjoyed in previous years will not be possible for many months to come. Consequently, the orchestra committee has taken the painful but inevitable decision to cancel our planned Spring and Summer concerts for 2021. We are currently discussing with our soloists whether these planned concerts can be re-scheduled into 2022, and we will let everyone know once these discussions have been finalised. Should the situation improve significantly, we may try to put on a small-scale concert in June - watch this space!
